Mounting & Framing
We like to think that careful presentation of an artwork becomes part of the artwork itself. With that in mind, here are some suggestions for how you might choose to frame your print. We hope you find them helpful.
1. A wide mount gives the print a presence and the space to be appreciated separately from its surroundings.
2. We recommend a mount of at least 8 cm for an A4 print and at least 10 cm for an A3 print, in a colour that is close in tone to the paper of the print itself.
3. Dry mounting in museum or conservation quality board is a good way to preserve the quality of the print over time.
4. A simple, thin frame in either black or a natural colour, like oak or walnut, can complement the warm grey tones and soft colour palettes of the photographs.
